8002 - Establishment of National Voluntary Insurance Program for Purchasing Community Living Assistance Services and Support
Establishes a new, national, voluntary long-term care insurance program, known as the Community Living Assistance Services and Supports (CLASS) Independence Benefit Plan. After mandatory five year contributions, individuals with functional limitations would be eligible for assistance of at least $50/day to purchase community-based support services.
