The NIH and HRSA have conducted activities to carry out grants in support of the full breadth of the COE program’s mission (e.g., on pain care and on autism), as well as in advancing opportunities to recruit, train, and retain URM individuals (e.g., see the relevant HRSA notice and press release).  For more information regarding the COE program, visit the program’s homepage.

On December 30, 2013, the NIH announced three funding opportunities to enhance workforce diversity research. Details here.

On July 14, HRSA announced the award of roughly $94 million to support a number of programs, many of which buttressed by the ACA, to strengthen and expand the health care workforce.
