Summary
Beginning March 23, 2010, provides for a new optional group under Medicaid for individuals who are not pregnant and whose income does not exceed the highest income eligibility level under the state plan for pregnant women. States may also include individuals who were previously made eligible for family planning services under a section 1115 waiver. Authorizes a state option for making such services available on a presumptive basis (presumptive eligibility) during a specified period. Requires states providing services to such individuals through benchmark or benchmark-equivalent coverage to include family planning services and supplies.
