SEC. 3402. TEMPORARY ADJUSTMENT TO THE CALCULATION OF PART B PREMIUMS. Section 1839(i) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395r(i)) is amended— (1) in paragraph (2), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by inserting ‘‘subject to paragraph (6),’’ after ‘‘subsection,’’; (2) in paragraph (3)(A)(i), by striking ‘‘The applicable’’ and inserting ‘‘Subject to paragraph (6), the applicable’’; (3) by redesignating paragraph (6) as paragraph (7); and (4) by inserting after paragraph (5) the following new paragraph: ‘‘(6) TEMPORARY ADJUSTMENT TO INCOME THRESHOLDS.— Notwithstanding any other provision of this subsection, during the period beginning on January 1, 2011, and ending on December 31, 2019— ‘‘(A) the threshold amount otherwise applicable under paragraph (2) shall be equal to such amount for 2010; and ‘‘(B) the dollar amounts otherwise applicable under paragraph (3)(C)(i) shall be equal to such dollar amounts for 2010.’’.
