Summary
Requires the CDC to conduct a evidence-based education campaign directed toward young women to increase women’s breast health awareness nationwide. Calls for the establishment (by May 23, 2010) of an Advisory Committee to support the development of this campaign. Directs the CDC to consult with HRSA in conducting an education campaign targeting physicians and other health care professionals towards this end.
Delineates certain breast cancer prevention research activities of the CDC and NIH. Directs HHS to award grants to furnish information to young women with breast cancer and related diseases. Authorizes (but does not appropriate) $9 million for each of FYs 2010-2014.
